Taking Up Film

Before my sisters wedding, I had a roll of film that had been in my camera for days. I could never seem to finish it and it was frustrating me. I took action and decided to go out and capture some images. It took a couple days and being in two different cities to do it but I finally got it done.

Festival of Love

I know this might be a very late update and I apologize. During that weekend of lovefest, I was fortunate enough to spend it with people that I truly care about. That day was filled with adventure, dancing, crazy people and even blood. Just take a look at the madness that took place. Hopefully next year...we keep track of all parties involved.

A Weekend Full of Treasures

In the weekend that passed, I was a witness to a myriad of dramatic events. They ranged from "moments" of love within huge crowds of people to fist-fights over who could get closest to the stage. I myself took part in these events as well. How could I not? I was at an amazing concert with amazing people! I had to join in on the fun.

Exploring Home

With all all this homework and studying I haven't had much time to explore my new home. It's a real bummer because thats the whole point of this blog. To keep track of what i am doing and what I have seen while living here. There is so much to see and experience. I need to set aside sometime to just go out and explore. In my past explorations of this city I found some pretty neat stuff. Everything from Red Bull soapbox races in Delores Park to old war bunkers. This city has so many secrets. I have four years to figure them out. I'd better get started.

Homeward Bound

I decided to go home for the weekend because it was a holiday. Usually the fam and I are at the beach house in foggy Bodega Bay sitting by the fireplace , drinking mexican hot chocolate and loving life. But not this year. We are in hot, smoke filled Sacramento just puttering around the house. I got home late last night and I thought I would be happy to be home and that everything would be the same. Man, I was in for a surprise. My parents said goodnight and went to bed. I walked into my room and everything is different. The decorations were moved around, it didn't smell like me. It was clean. It was no longer my room. Alone in this new place, I sat and listened to a playlist consisting of Modest Mouse, Bright Eyes, Peter Bjorn, and everything in between. Is this what coming home is supposed to feel like?

Something New

So this is something thats very new for me. I have seen it done many times, ways and for many different reasons. You guessed it. I'm talking about blogging. I took the leap into this world because I have something to share with the world, well at least the people who will read this. And that is my photography. I haven't been doing it for long but its something that I enjoy. I believe that if you have something that you are proud of and feel that is is something worthy of sharing with people then why not do it. So thats what I am doing. I hope you enjoy.

P.s I think its only right to give credit where it's due and the first picture, although it is of me, was taken by my photographically talented girlfriend Jillian Reese on our first trip to her new home by the bay, Berkeley. Thank you Jill.
